Hey Vineyard Fam,
Pastor Joshua here just dropping a note. I am so excited to share with you where the leadership feel God is leading us as a church in the next decade. After much prayer, discernment, and listening together, we believe the Lord is calling Vineyard Columbus into a 10-year vision to be called:
Every Generation for Future Generations.
This vision is rooted in Psalm 145:4 – “One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.” We long to be a church where every generation—kids, students, young adults, adults, and sages—can experience the transforming love of Jesus and passes on that faith to those who come after.
Over the next 10 years Vineyard Columbus can become a vibrant intergenerational community that makes disciples, serves our city, and equips leaders for Kingdom impact. Our church can be known not only for worship and teaching, but also for raising up the next generation, addressing injustice, serving the vulnerable, and strengthening families across all seasons of life.
If you are a leader in our church you heard a little bit about this from our Senior Pastors earlier this year. To launch this vision for our whole church, we are beginning a 5-week vision series starting Sunday, August 31. The theme of each week will focus on one generation and explore their unique role in God’s story:
- Kids – childlike faith and wonder
- Students – courage and conviction
- Young Adults – passion and calling
- Adults – faithfulness and perseverance
- Sages – wisdom and blessing
Every generation matters, and together we form one body, moving toward God’s purposes for our time and beyond.
Every person in our church family needs to be part of this journey! Come ready to be inspired, challenged, and invited into what God is doing among us.
Don’t don’t just come once—commit to the whole journey. Each week builds on the next, painting a bigger picture of how all of us together can become the church God is calling us to be. Let’s step into this new season as a united body with prayerful expectation and renewed commitment to follow Jesus together.
Blessings!
Pastor Joshua
