A landscape with beautiful clouds

International Ministries

At Vineyard Columbus, we are committed to our whole church being engaged with the whole world, both locally and globally. Whether supporting long-term work and sending short-term teams around the world, or through serving international communities right here in Central Ohio, we are excited to be partnering with God in bringing his kingdom to the whole world. Read more below to see how you can get involved!

Local International Ministries

Immigrants and refugees to the Columbus area need our outreach and support. Our Local International Ministry provides opportunities for all of us to easily plug in and serve. You can engage with our international community through outreach events and ESL classes. Our desire is to love international friends in practical ways:

ESL

English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are a ministry of Vineyard Columbus dedicated to equipping refugees and immigrants by providing teaching which increases their functional grasp of the English language in the areas of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

International Ministry Trips

Over the next 12 months, we hope to send 12 groups of VC people on trips around the world to learn, serve, and gain God’s heart for the nations – the earth is the Lord and all it contains, the world and those who dwell in it! (Psalm 24:1) See below for a list of upcoming trips and come travel with us! Any questions? Contact International Ministries.

Angola

May 8-22, 2024
(closed)

This will be a multifaceted mission trip to a country that has yet to recover from the injustices of colonialization and a brutal twenty-seven year civil war. In spite of huge oil and diamond resources the majority of the population are subsistence farmers and live on about two dollars a day. Few have any access to healthcare. The first week will be spent in southern Angola. We’ll reside in the city of Lubango, visit CEML Hospital (ceml.org) and the remote Rio da Hulia Clinic, spend an afternoon in a huge open air market like you’ve never imagined, visit sites of agricultural development, participate in the exuberant worship of an Anglican church plant in Katchambuma and sight see at some geological wonders. Then we’ll fly via Mission Aviation Fellowship (mafangola.com) to the remote village of Cavango and the Clinica da Missao de Cavango for a week of cultural emersion and Kingdom ministry. We will serve in the hospital, pray for the sick, provide ministry to children, work in an ongoing agricultural project, be a blessing to missionary families and enjoy some awesome scenery. Questions? Email Dick Pope.

Cambodia

July 3–14, 2024
(Grandview Campus)

We will take a 12 day trip to Cambodia with the primary task of connecting to the Asia's Hope orphan home that Vineyard Columbus supports. Asia’s Hope is widely recognized as an organization that provides effective solutions for kids who cannot be safely reunited with their families of origin, and so they enable kids to live in this home as a "forever family.” This means we get to spend time connecting with children who have been part of our home for years! We’ll spend time getting to know them, playing with and learning from them, and being an encouragement and a refreshment to the parents of the home. This trip is highly relational, and so much fun!
