We will take a 12 day trip to Cambodia with the primary task of connecting to the Asia's Hope orphan home that Vineyard Columbus supports. Asia’s Hope is widely recognized as an organization that provides effective solutions for kids who cannot be safely reunited with their families of origin, and so they enable kids to live in this home as a "forever family”. This means we get to spend time connecting with children who have been part of our home for years! We’ll spend time getting to know them, playing with and learning from them, and being an encouragement and a refreshment to the parents of the home. This trip is highly relational, and so much fun!
Primary objectives for this trip are missionary care for two VC-supported missionary families, to encourage the core members of the emerging churches, and help invite people into fellowship with the young churches. Activities might include sharing testimonies, preaching, praying, small group participation, ministry to people in their homes in outlying areas, and street meetings (prayer offered), English conversation hours. For more information, please visit the Xingu Mission home page.
