If God is Good, Why do Bad Things Happen?
Clarity on what the Bible is and what the Bible is not... The Bible tells one incredible story that followers of Jesus claim changes everything. Followers of Jesus have been willing to risk their lives, love sacrificially, and give generously in light of the over-arching Message of the Bible.
The goal of the Christian faith is Jesus – knowing him, becoming like him, and doing what he did. In every area of our lives, ALL followers of Jesus are learning to bring ALL areas of our lives under His rule and reign. This is challenging for EVERYONE. Jesus doesn’t want to crush us with a life of isolation and misery OR a life of indulgence and addiction. He wants us to know real freedom and in His grace He gives us boundaries in ALL of our sex-lives.

People today believe in one of two extremes—God is either love or God is law, God is either mercy or God is justice. The God of the Bible is not one or the other but both—He is both justice and mercy. And the way that we see this demonstrated is in Jesus Christ who demonstrated a love that also fulfilled justice by dying for the sins of the world.
This is the big critique of faith: it's nice that you can believe those things to make you feel better, but it's not really true. But the truth is, there are many intellectually and emotionally satisfying reasons to believe in God. In the Psalms, we see the incredible beauty of creation that points to the realitty of a creator.
