Pack your bags, grab your tents, and let's get ready to camp in the great outdoors. This will be a time to laugh, compete, tell stories, make pals, and talk to God. Man Camp was designed to help dudes take time to get away from the hustle and stress of life, decompress and kick back, and provide a safe place to relax and just be yourself with a bunch of other dudes. Each camper will be part of a unit made up of 6-8 dudes, led by a Trip Captain. Worship band and recording artist, Truslow, will lead us in worship once again throughout the weekend.
*Please note that registration will not be open the last 2 weeks prior to Man Camp to allow Trip Captains sufficient time to contact their unit and make arrangements for a great weekend for everyone. How much is it?
MAN CAMP is $70.00.
How old do I need to be to attend MAN CAMP?
The minimum age for MAN CAMP is 18. (MAN CAMP is an adults only adventure).
What if I’ve never camped before?
No problem. This trip is all about getting outside your comfort zone, alongside other men. 80% of the men who come to Man Camp have never camped before. We’re here to challenge you and encourage you, whether you’ve camped for decades or don’t own a tent. When we trade convenience, comfort and security for the great unknown, we’re pretty much guaranteed to grow.
What is the schedule?
While we do have a planned schedule for a full weekend experience with God and other men, we want to give enough room for flexibility and for God to move as He desires, so no schedule will be posted. Just come, relax, have fun and go with the flow.
What food should I bring and will any be provided?
We will provide lunch for everyone on Saturday. Each unit trip captain will coordinate with his unit and they will determine what they will be eating and who will bring what. Basically, each camper will be responsible for his breakfast on Saturday and Sunday and Dinner on Friday and Saturday nights.
What if I don’t have a tent?
No worries, we’ve got you covered. Let your trip captain know you will need a tent to sleep in and he will arrange for you to sleep in a tent provided by another man in your unit.
What should I bring?
Once you sign up you will be provided with a list of items you need and a list your unit will need. You will be contacted by your trip captain to coordinate the items your unit will need and arrange food. If you don’t have some items that you need and are not able to borrow or purchase them, then let your trip captain know and others in your unit may be able to help out. What if I don’t know anybody?
Perfect! You’ll make friends in no time. Every man camper will be assigned a unit: a group of 6 - 7 other guys, led by a trip captain. You’ll do everything with your unit: get outfitted, bring food, set up camp, compete and generally solve problems. You are going to be good friends with your unit by the time this trip is over. You will have the opportunity to sign up for a specific trip captain in a few weeks and we will let you know when that registration is open.
What if I don't go to Vineyard?
Cool! You'll still love it. Tons of other guys who don't call Vineyard home will be there. MAN CAMP is powered by Vineyard but the movement is way bigger than that.
What do I need to bring and how do I get it up to camp?
Once you’re signed up, we’ll send you a full list. But the short version is: one duffel bag and one backpack, filled with camping gear, a chair, dry clothes and food. *Note that you will be carrying all your own gear about 1 mile up to base camp, so pack accordingly, it is only 2 nights. How long is it?
From Friday evening to around 1pm on Sunday afternoon and there will not be time for extra activities on your own.
What time do I need to be there on Friday?
Ingress will be available from 4:00-6:30 pm. If you arrive early you'll be directed to a staging area until 4:00. As long as you are inside the gate by 6:30, you're good. Your entire Unit must be present to begin the hike in.
What if I have to leave early?
You’re in for the whole deal if you go. The entire event is a communal experience.
What if it rains?
Then we’ll probably get wet.
What if it snows?
Snow is a lot like rain, but colder.
What are we doing?
Sleeping outside. Building fires. Laughing. Competing. Splitting wood. Drinking malted beverages (if we’re old enough). BYOing pretty much everything. Testing our strength. Telling stories. Making pals. Talking to God. Doing life together.
Will there be alcohol at this event?
Yes. While it is certainly not the focus, alcohol will be permitted.
Is this event tax-deductible?
Can I buy a block of tickets for my buddies?
Nope. We require that each man sign up and commit individually (because that’s what men do) Plus, everybody has to sign the waiver electronically. Do you trust your buddy to sign your life away? (Just saying.)
What if I sign up, and then cancel at the last minute?
Tickets are non-refundable. If you cancel, we’ll give your spot to someone on the waiting list.
What if there’s an emergency at home while I’m gone?
We’ll have a way for your family to reach you (and you them) if there’s an emergency. And by emergency we don’t mean the cable goes out or Buster wins his football game.
