21st Century Healing Series Description In his book, "Surprised by the Power of the Spirit", Jack Deere writes the following: "If you were to lock a brand-new Christian in a room with a Bible and tell him to study what Scripture has to say about healing and miracles, he would never come out of the room a cessationist." The Bible is full of passages that give testimony to the divine healing power of God. As Christians, we are commanded to join in the ministry of Jesus where "people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed, and he healed them." In this series, we will tackle the many misconceptions that people may have about the gift of healing, and also learn how to live this out in our daily lives.
