We have been Blessed

For more than two decades, we as a church family have been receiving God’s blessings in a multitude of ways.

Growth
Church growth and church planting are a sign of God’s blessing.

  • we’ve grown from 300 members to averaging over 6000 every weekend.
  • Vineyard Columbus has planted 18 new churches in our community, state, and nation.

Salvations and Baptisms
Thousands of salvations and baptisms are a sign of God’s blessing.

  • This past year, over 700 people came to Christ.
  • Over 300 people have been baptized in the past year.

Small Groups
Community life and life-sustaining relationships expressed through regular participation in a small group are signs of God’s blessing.

  • Nearly 70% of our church members, adults and teens participate in small groups - where we get to know and care for others, worship God, give and receive prayer, and apply Bible study to our daily lives.

Kids
More than 1000 children being discipled is a sign of God’s blessing.

  • 1300+ children weekly participate in the VineyardKids’ mission to build up kids in the faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
  • We are blessed to sponsor Awesome Adventure (discipleship group), Power Play (designed especially for boys of single moms), winter camp, day camp (maxed at 350 children), Harvest Bash (nearly 2000 children and parents) and other special events throughout the year.

Teens
More than 1000 children being discipled is a sign of God’s blessing.

  • Over 200 teens attend Wednesday night services and on the weekends
  • Nearly 300 kids attend The ROCK (Middle School) or The Net (High School).
    Many opportunities for discipleship, missions and annual retreats or camps are available for teens to attend and build a foundation for a lasting relationship with Christ.

Young Adults
A thriving young adult community that is consistently reaching out is a sign of God’s blessing.

  • Nearly 800 young adults coming to our young adult service (Joshua House) on Sunday nights.
  • Each week there are over 50 visitors.
  • Joshua House has begun to collect money each month to minister to those who suffer with HIV/AIDS in Africa.
  • Young adults make up a large portion of those serving in the city with Fruit of the Vine.
  • Young adults minister to others with over 45 small groups.

Marriages
Seeing people become healthy and whole in their marriages is a sign of God’s blessing.

  • In the last year, our premarital class called How2Become1 equipped 170 people to prepare for marriage.
  • 35 couples attended our marriage restoration conference called Begin Again.
  • We launched our first parents’ conference as well as our Great Dads Seminar this year.

Community Outreach
Being able to minister to those in need in our community is a sign of God’s blessing.
  • Our ministry to the poor and the homeless, Fruit of the Vine, provides food to over 350 families each month at our food pantry.
  • We have 3 small groups that meet for our homeless and formerly homeless friends.
  • We run a free medical clinic that offers medical, optometric and dental care as well as counseling and prayer. About 150 people accepted Jesus Christ as their savior in 2004 through the evangelism of the medical clinic.
  • We host a Single Parents fair twice a year, reaching out to over 600 single parent families.
  • Our After-School Program called The Zone serves 43 students per week and over the summer, the program grew from 88 students a day in 2003 to 130 students a day in 2004. The Zone also hosted a basketball league in spring of 2004 attended by 60-70 kids.
  • Through Project Compassion, over 175 men, women and children affected by AIDS/HIV are being impacted for Christ.
