Rich Nathan is the senior pastor of Vineyard Columbus, a position that he has been serving in since 1987. Prior to becoming the church's first Senior Pastor, Rich taught business law at The Ohio State University for five years.
He is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and received his Juris Doctorate with honors from The Ohio State University College of Law in 1980. Rich has served on the National Board for Vineyard USA for more than two decades and is currently serving as the leader of the Large Church Task Force for the Vineyard. He is a popular national and international conference speaker.
Rich co-authored “Both And” (IVP Books, 2013) with Insoo Kim as well as “Empowered Evangelicals” (Ampelon Revised 2009) with Ken Wilson. Rich is also the author of “Who is My Enemy? Welcoming People the Church Rejects” (Zondervan, 2002). He has written numerous articles on leadership in publications such as Leadership Magazine.
Rich was born and raised in New York City. He and his wife, Marlene, have been married for over 40 years. They have two children and six grandchildren.
Irene Casale-Petrarca serves as the pastor for La Viña, the Spanish-speaking Campus of Vineyard Columbus, launched in October 2013. She and her family moved to the U.S.A. eight years ago and have been attending Vineyard Columbus for the last seven years. Since 2010, Irene has been involved with International Ministries and has led a Hispanic small group. She also completed the Advanced Certificate of Biblical Leadership from Vineyard Institute (VI) in 2013.
Irene is originally from Venezuela where she worked as a pediatrician. She has been married for 26 years and is the mother of three boys. Irene loves serving the Lord and his people, walking, enjoying nature and meeting people from every nation and culture.
Before pastoring our Sawmill Campus, Scott served on staff at churches in Mississippi and in New Jersey. Scott also serves on the Church Extension Ministry team that works with training, equipping, and sending church planters from Vineyard Columbus.
Scott and Hannah met in seminary and were married in 2006. Hannah was born and raised in Zambia, Africa, where her parents served 18 years as missionaries and church planters. They have three kids – Ella, Dylan, and Lincoln.
Scott loves reading, music and movies of all sorts, and visiting cites of all shapes and sizes. Scott received a Bachelor of Urban Planning degree at the University of Cincinnati. He is currently finishing a dissertation on urban planning in ancient Israel to complete a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies/Old Testament. It should also be mentioned that Scott is a rather fervent Indianapolis Colts fan.
Charles A. Montgomery, Jr is the East Campus Pastor. In this role he is responsible for the oversight and day-to-day operations of the campus, which is located at 333 Jericho Road in Pickerington. Charles is also an Affiliated Professor at Ohio Christian University. Prior to these positions, Charles served as Pastor Rich Nathan's research assistant for two years. And prior to coming to Vineyard, he was licensed and ordained by the National Baptist Church, U.S.A. and has faithfully served on church staffs in California, Georgia and Ohio. Charles earned his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Morehouse College, a Master of Divinity from Emory University, and a Ph.D. from Union Institute and University, with an emphasis in Ethical and Creative Leadership. He is an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan (Go Bucks!) and has been blissfully married to his lovely wife, Lady Kimberly, since 2003. They are humbled and excited about leading our East Campus!
Andrew and his wife Ginny met while attending Columbus College of Art and Design, and came into relationship with Jesus at Vineyard Columbus after five years of marriage. Since that time, in addition to a professional career in sales and non-profit management, Andrew completed the Vineyard Leadership Institute and led Hear the Cry, a non-profit organization responding to the AIDS crisis in Africa. After many years of lay leadership at Vineyard, Andrew launched the Lane Avenue Campus in 2011 and became its pastor. At the same time, he began pursuing a Master’s of Divinity at Asbury Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. He and Ginny have 3 young children, and live in Clintonville.
