Learn: Life of the Disciple classes

Classes are offered on the first Saturday (9am-1pm) of every month. Register for classes here. Find out more information about classes here.

Level 1 Classes

For those who have little or no exposure to the subject matter.

  • Foundations Class
    A weekly class designed for new believers and structured so you can enter in at any point; no registration is required. Registration is required for childcare. Please contact Roxi Larsen, 614-259-5364 for class schedule or questions.

  • New Communities Series

    If you are interested in getting involved in a small group but haven't been able to find your way into one, join us for evening of worship, scripture teaching and live discussion in breakout groups.

  • Be My Witnesses

    This class will introduce some methods of sharing your faith with others. This class includes a 2-hour outreach project in the community.

Level 2 Classes
For those who have some exposure to the subject matter

  • Holy Spirit Weekend
    Please contact us for class schedule.
    Craig Heselton & Stephen Van Dop
    You will discover who the Holy Spirit is, what He does and how to experience His touch. This retreat will be held on site and will feature 3 sessions of applicable teaching, energized worship, plenty of time for prayer and ministry, as well as opportunities to relax and deepen relationships with God and others. Brochures are available at the Life of the Disciple table in the lobby with details.

  • Healing

    This class gives an overview of the healing ministry of Jesus, as well as Vineyard’s beliefs regarding prayer ministry and the Kingdom of God. This class is mandatory for anyone who wishes to be a part of the prayer ministry team at Vineyard Columbus.

  • Understanding Your Mormon Friends

    Learn about the history and teachings of the Mormon Church (Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints) as well as practical strategies for sharing your faith with people in the LDS church.

  • Great Dad’s Seminar

    The Six Basics of Being a Great Dad. “Great Dads” is a national ministry dedicated to training men in the most important job they will ever have - being a dad!. “Great Dads” vision is “To see fathers across America turn their heart to their children, thereby enriching children’s lives, bringing joy to fathers , and renewing American society.” Cost is $25 for registration and Great Dads book.

Other Classes

  • Bible Study Class
    Taught by John Cook
    Thursdays, 7:45–9:45pm
    A detailed study of the Gospel of Luke. John Cook is a long time leader & teacher at VCC. He also oversees the healing classes in the LDC series.

  • VLI Intensives are open to everyone.
    The cost to attend is $30 (which includes the syllabus). The class times are Saturday 8am-4pm and Sunday, 2pm-7pm . Registration brochures will be available for each Intensive 2 weeks prior to the scheduled date. For more information, contact the VLI Administrator at 614-259-5417

    • VLI Intensive: Team Building
      Please contact us for class schedule.
      This course will instruct the students on how the leader and his or her team must recruit, train, deploy, monitor and nurture workers and leaders so as to build the infrastructure of each major ministry in the church. Leaders of well developed church ministries will speak on how they have done it in their area of ministry. Registration brochures available at the info counter 2 weeks prior to the event.
