What it takes to be part of a weekend team or the worship choir...
All our weekend musicians/vocalists are volunteers. This is our service to our church.
Bands generally practice two times per month on Wednesday or Thursday evenings.
Alternate weeks they meet as a small group.
They also meet to practice and pray 2 hours prior to the weekend service they are leading.
For worship bands, the approximate time commitment is 20 hours (including service time) every other month.
Our "off" months the time commitment is 2-5 hours.
The worship choir practices on Sunday mornings during the 9:15 service.
For the worship choir, the approximate time commitment is 20 hours (including service time) each month of the school year.
The choir is "off" during the summer.
All our worship team members are considered to be leaders at Vineyard Columbus.
This means that we are expected to be members, to tithe and to be an active part of a small group (which is often the band or choir we are a member of).
