A woman faced with an unwanted pregnancy generally understands at some level that there is human life inside her, making that question moot. Her desire to terminate the pregnancy stems from a more basic instinct: self-preservation. A woman experiencing a crisis pregnancy often sees her predicament as the end of life as she knows it, making it a very real choice between her life or her baby's. She has little hope of ever fulfilling her plans and dreams without an abortion. Even adoption, which others may tell her is a logical solution to her dilemma, is a path fraught with emotional and physical turmoil—turmoil which ironically derives from that same understanding that she is responsible for the life developing within her.
God put within our hearts that passion for life and parenthood. Vineyard Pro-Life ministry is designed to assist women in making choices regarding the life of their unborn child based on biblical principles, godly wisdom and prayer.
Help for Those Suffering from a Past Abortion
We also believe we are to be part of the healing process that takes place when a woman who has experienced an abortion is faced with the pain and grief of the choice she has made. We offer a support group called HEART, Healing the Effects of Abortion Related Trauma, in which this healing can begin. Click on the support groups and ministries link for more details.
