![]() But a Samaritan when he saw him, took pity on him, went to him, bandaged his wounds and took care of him. And Jesus said, "Go and do likewise." (Luke 10:33-34,37) Care and Healing at Vineyard Church of ColumbusMany times in life we find ourselves experiencing emotional, spiritual, or physical upheaval. Vineyard founder John Wimber would often say, "The church is a hospital, a family, an army, and a school." As the body of Christ, Vineyard Columbus purposefully co-labors with Jesus as a hospital, tending to broken places by coming alongside people to bring Jesus' care & healing love. If you find yourself struggling with an addiction, depression, or an unbearable grief; if you are hurting spiritually, in need of physical healing, or struggling with any other difficult sufferings, this page will tell you what help Vineyard Columbus has to offer and how to find that help.
Vineyard Columbus Community through Small Groups Jesus said, "In this life you will have trouble." Everyone goes through times of intense struggles and suffering. As a church, we are intentional about encouraging everyone to be involved in a small group so that when, not if, you face a difficult life situation, you will have the love, care, and prayer support you need. Small groups at Vineyard Columbus are diverse communities of people who want to grow as followers of Jesus and experience the blessing that God bestows when His followers are relationally transparent and choose to live life together. In the church lobby you will find literature available with information about each small group offered at VCC. Each Vineyard Columbus small group eagerly awaits your visit and welcomes you in joining them in the pursuit of God and community. Recovery and Support GroupsVineyard

Holy Spirit Empowerment NightsOnce a month, typically on the second Friday at 7:30 PM, we gather together at the church to worship God and seek the presence of the Holy Spirit during the Holy Spirit Empowerment Nights. Realizing the importance of saturating our lives and ministries in the church with the presence and power of the Spirit, this service provides an opportunity for us to be freshly filled with the Spirit's presence and to pray for one another in His power. The night consists of three elements - a time of worship, a short teaching on some aspect of the Spirit-empowered life, and an extended time of ministry. We invite the Holy Spirit to come and minister to us spontaneously throughout the entire service with prophetic revelations, gifts of tongues and other spiritual gifts. During the ministry time, there is an opportunity for people to respond for various forms of healing, deliverance and a fresh touch of God's presence in their lives. This service is for anyone inside or outside the church wanting or needing more of God.Check the MIX or the events page of the web for the dates and times of the next Holy Spirit Empowerment Night and come join us in seeking God. Vineyard
Professional Counseling CenterThe Vineyard Counseling Center was established as a ministry of Vineyard Church of Columbus for those who need the services of a clinically trained counselor, yet desire a biblically based approach to resolving problems and concerns. As an extension of pastoral care, our goal is to help people achieve wholeness in all aspects of their lives. We believe this is accomplished by helping people break free from areas of sin thereby releasing God's healing power to work on their behalf. For more information on the professional counselors, their fees, availability, or to make an appointment contact Linda Bradshaw at 614-259-5409. Soaking Prayer MinistryGod does heal and deliver today. He is healing the sick and injured whether physical, emotional, mental or spiritual. He heals people through prayer; sometimes quickly but often healing comes slowly through many prayer sessions - that is, they need to be "soaked" in prayer.Scheduled Soaking Prayer SessionsA member or regular attender of Vineyard Columbus may submit an application to receive prayer on a regular basis, twice a month for 30-60 minutes. Each individual is prayed for on a set day and time by the same team each session. A prayer team is made up of 2 - 4 members who have been trained in soaking prayer. An evaluation is made by your prayer team every 3 - 6 months. Currently, due to the length of our waiting list, there is a limit of 6 months or 12 sessions. Sessions are scheduled on weeknights or before Joshua House services.Click here for an application (pdf) for Soaking Prayer and then return it to Sue Burkett at the church office. For more information call Sue Burkett at 614-259-5379. Open Prayer for Healing Session offered by the Soaking Prayer MinistryThis service is open to everyone and is held twice a month usually on the second and fourth Saturday beginning at 9am. Each person will be prayed for by trained soaking prayer members throughout the session. This is an opportunity to be in the Lord's powerful presence for 2 hours. NO appointment is needed and all are welcome. Check the MIX for upcoming dates.Staff on CallIf you are disconnected from relationship in the church, are experiencing a crisis, have no one to call & get prayer or direction; you may wish to call the church (890-0000) Monday -Friday during the hours of 8:30 AM -5:00 PM. A receptionist upon assessing your situation will connect you with the appropriate ministry within the church or put you through to a staff member who will speak with and pray for you.Hospital Visitation MinistryOur Hospital Visitation Ministry exists to bring God's love, mercy, and prayer to regular attenders and Vineyard Columbus members who are hospitalized. If you or a loved one are in the hospital please contact the church 890-0000 with the patient's name, hospital, dates expected to be in the hospital, and the call back number. DeliveranceAt times, even believers may come under the influence of the demonic. This may be as a result of a person's personal choices (sin), emotional wounding or other events in a person's life.At Vineyard Columbus, deliverance takes place in the context of other healing through Life on Life, Soaking Prayer or other healing venues.
