Church planting is at the heart of Jesus' call to "Go and make disciples of all nations."
Over the past 26 years, Vineyard Columbus has given away its best leaders and resources in order, as our mission statement suggests, “to develop a community of disciples who experience God, love one another, and partner with Christ to heal the world.” We are a church that plants other churches to further this mission.
Throughout our history, we have planted over two dozen churches, both domestically and internationally, and we're not stopping there. In 2013, we launched the “20 in 10 Initiative” through which Vineyard Columbus has committed itself to plant 20 churches over the next 10 years. We are looking for women and men who have a passion and a call to plant Vineyard churches. If you're interested in being a lead pastor of a church plant or part of a church planting team, we’d encourage you to take your first steps toward planting and look at Our Process.
If you’re considering church planting, Vineyard Columbus offers a variety of opportunities for hands-on training. We would specifically highlight our Church Planting Residency Program as a great opportunity to learn from Vineyard Columbus leaders and others in the Vineyard Movement.
Church Planting is exciting and challenging. But it can also be an incredibly complicated process. Vineyard Columbus wants to help potential planters navigate the ins and outs of planting and reduce any unneeded complexity. So, we offer various church planting Resources that we would encourage you to read through to learn more about who we are and how we do things.
