The role of this intern is to work alongside Community Life Pastors to fulfill the mission of connecting the disconnected into vital community and vibrant discipleship. Our mission as a church is to develop a community of disciples who experience God, love one another, and partner with Christ to heal the world.�
The primary purpose of this Community Life Intern position is to assist our ministry team with connecting the unconnected into small groups; assist with connection events, curriculum and resource development, leader training 1 (LT1) classes, and honor/recognition of and communication with our Community Leaders and Small Group Leaders.
Ohio had led the nation in opioid-related fatalities for the last several years in a row, and the effect on our communities has been staggering. If you have a desire to see this change, this may be the role for you. This internship, in particular, will focus on developing community partnerships and programming to bring churches, synagogues, and mosques together to increase the number of faith-based resources available to our city. Because this position is responsible for research and development, candidate must have experience in the addiciton field as well as great creativity, initiative, and the ability to work independently. Intern must also have great people skills, the ability to speak comfortably to large groups, and be able to both envision AND execute strong programming. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A CLINICAL INTERNSHIP. IT WILL NOT SATISFY PRACTICUM OR INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS.
Marriage and Family Life Intern must desire to work with singles and couples: 1) Prepare them for becoming married at Vineyard Columbus; 2) Assess needs of families; 3) Assist parents through education and resources; and 4) Provide support as needed to Marriage and Family Life Ministry events. The intern needs to be self-motivated, work well with others, have excellent communication skills and have a personal reference from a pastor or ministry leader.
The Fusion Student Ministry Internship Program at Vineyard Columbus is a year-long leadership development experience designed for those who feel called to Student Ministry. Interns will receive “whole-person” development through practical ministry experience and robust theological training, all in the context of a fast-paced, cutting edge church located in the heart of the city.
This internship is an opportunity to serve women in unintended pregnancies who have been referred to our Value Life Ministry for care, connection and resources. Interns assist with connecting and training Mentors with pregnant women. They will also participate in community connections with pregnancy care centers and other community organizations who offer resources for pregnant women.
The Worship Arts Intern will be responsible for attending and contributing to Worship Arts meetings with staff and volunteers, along with contributing to worship at weekend services on occasion. The intern will also focus on growth in pastoring, mentoring, and recruiting volunteers. Spiritual formation, administrative skills, and musical knowledge will be part of growth during the period of the internship as well.
