Cooper Colony Outreach

Mission Statement

Our purpose is to build relationships with youth in order to disciple them and equip them to contribute to the community. We do this by helping to develop a child's mind, body, spirit, emotions, and character through proclaiming the gospel, biblical teaching, mentoring, tutoring, vocational training, and fun.

2006-2007	After School program averaging 58 in attendance. Full Time PA (Kevin Brown) Full Time Academic Coordinator (Helen Cosner) 60 Active volunteers participated at least once a week for the school year 6 Part-time staff including lead teachers and recreation coordinators Partnered with Mount Vernon Nazarene University to provide 12 students with field experience Summer program enrolled 420 students/avg 338 per day Moved into the new Community Center in January, 2007 Began providing limited transportation from schools ESL summer camp started Administrative Assistant added - Dee Bennett
2005-2006	After School program averaging 36 attendees Full Time PA 1 Professional tutor part time (Dorothy) 1 Academic Coordinator part time (Rebecca Luttrell) Addition of 3 AmeriCorps volunteers (Antenehe, Channing, Diana) Officially partnered with Avalon Elementary, Columbus Public Schools Summer program enrolled 236 students
2004-2005	After-school program is averaging 38 attendees Full Time PA 1 Professional tutor part time (Dorothy) 3 Part time assistants (Rebecca, Sean & Kristy) Summer program enrolled 230 students
